Support Women in STEM on Florida’s Space Coast!
The Women In Defense Space Coast Chapter (WIDSC) was founded in January 2013. Our primary objective is to provide networking and professional development opportunities to promote the role of women in the national defense and security environments, to support military Service members, and to encourage partnerships between the contractor community and Department of Defense (DOD) and Federal agencies in Florida’s Space Coast community. Our region has historically enjoyed expanded growth and enhanced business opportunities for technology integration companies moving into the region to support the marketplace.
We strive to actively promote women for key leadership and technical positions throughout the region, and we focus on giving back to our local communities through participation and promotion of charitable initiatives to include scholarships for women wishing to pursue studies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) to further their careers.
